SQL Server 2008 consultancy and development

UruIT was hired by Microsoft Chile to provide consultancy and development services for a key customer.

Initially an onsite consultancy was done by a senior UruIT developer, who evaluated and assesed the impact of migrating to SQL 2008 for a set of existing applications using previous versions of the DB engine.

The second phase of the project included the development of a .NET tool to ensure that stored procedures meet customer standard and rules before moving from development environment.

The .NET application used new SQL Server 2008 policies, regular expressions and reflection to perform the validations, while MOSS 2007 was used to provide the user interface and rules repository.
