Software Factory Environment Management (Banking) - Custom Software

UruIT was hired by Microsoft Enterprise Services Chile to build a new platform for deploying applications to the bank production environments, which involve 4 server farms totaling around 90 servers.

The solution was aimed to replace Microsoft Application Center, the tool used by the bank to deploy and synchronize the components between the servers. It is a discontinued product and was not longer coping with the bank’s needs for reliability, monitoring, tracking and rollback capabilities.

The solution was built using Microsoft Sharepoint for a friendly and more collaborative interface, SQL 2005 for Data Repository and tracking, and Microsoft’s Web Deployment Tool for the deployment and synchronization to the servers.

A tool was developed to validate SQL procedures against SF standards using SQL Server 2008 policies, regular expressions and reflection for custom rules.
