One of the top 20 companies in revenue from Chile, hired UruIT to build an integrated information system, on top of SQL Server 2008 R2 , integrating data from different legacy systems using SSIS, and providing data visualization / reports on top of PowerPivot for SharePoint and dashboards built in PerformancePoint.

This system will enable the top and mid managament to get real time and unified performance information for analysis and decision making, integrated from several external systems. It also enabled dashboards with sustetability indicators and performance reports

This solution combines the power of SQL Server, SharePoint and its dashboard component PerformancePoint, and it’s based on the guidelines by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a network-based organization that has pioneered the development of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework and is committed to its continuous improvement and application worldwide.

This framework sets out the principles and indicators that organizations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performance.

UruIT was hired by Microsoft Enterprise Services Chile to lead a development team working in the Software Factory for a major bank in Chile.

A technical leader from UruIT worked onsite in Chile for 5 months providing technical support to the development team, promoting good development practices, reviewing the code produced and helping in design and development activities, among others.

Software Factory Environment Management (Banking) - Custom Software

UruIT was hired by Microsoft Enterprise Services Chile to build a new platform for deploying applications to the bank production environments, which involve 4 server farms totaling around 90 servers.

The solution was aimed to replace Microsoft Application Center, the tool used by the bank to deploy and synchronize the components between the servers. It is a discontinued product and was not longer coping with the bank’s needs for reliability, monitoring, tracking and rollback capabilities.

The solution was built using Microsoft Sharepoint for a friendly and more collaborative interface, SQL 2005 for Data Repository and tracking, and Microsoft’s Web Deployment Tool for the deployment and synchronization to the servers.

UruIT was hired by a major financial entity in Uruguay to develop their new intranet on top of SharePoint 2010.

The solution to be used by more than 600 employees will improve collaboration and communication within the organization. HR and Admin processes were automated. The solution includes delivering a public version for the internet, integrating external systems to make public some vital information for the entire population of Uruguay.

A worldwide leader in Life Science solutions outsourced UruIT for a long term project which consists in the full migration of their main product, a powerful chemical drawing tool, from its core technology based in C++ to the latest Microsoft technologies including WPF.

The current version of the product includes more than 200,000 lines of code, and it requires portability concepts to bring the product also available on Mac environments.

UruIT is providing some of its Senior .NET developers to accomplish this challenging project, working within a team of Senior developers from the customer.

TFS Extensions (Banking) - Custom Software

UruIT was hired by Microsoft Enterprise Services Chile to build a new platform for supporting the development and maintenance of more than six hundred applications at the major bank from Chile.

The solution is implemented using Team Foundation Server, custom check-in policies for enforcing the bank standards, automated branching, labeling and workflow for promotion of code between environments.

UruIT was hired by Microsoft Enterprise Services Chile to collaborate in and lead the migration of legacy applications’ data access from SQL server 6.5 to SQL Server 2008.

UruIT’s main goal was to identify risks and design a migration procedure to avoid any migration related problems.

A tool was developed to validate SQL procedures against SF standards using SQL Server 2008 policies, regular expressions and reflection for custom rules.
